Get your Wick'em on!
Like so many women who suffer daily with sweating under and between the breasts, I set out to design a bra liner for myself - one that would absorb moisture to help prevent me from getting the rashes and irritation under my breasts I get from perspiration, and one that would add additional comfort to my bra so it wouldn't dig into me on the sides…a bra liner that would keep me dry and comfortable and save me from the embarrassment I often experienced from unsightly wet sweat marks on my clothing!
Although I had discussed my problem with countless doctors over the past 15 years, not one of them offered a solution. All the doctors told me was not to feel bad, since my own painful experience was a common problem with large-breasted women.
I finally decided to come up with something for myself and for the millions of women like me who have this problem, but don't talk about it!
As the bra liner design began to take shape, I decided to seek out input from women of all ages and sizes. After talking candidly with over 100 women, I was surprised to find that excess sweating under the breasts – and the resulting problems that this causes – is something that is not limited to large-breasted women!
Everyday women of all shapes, sizes, and ages perspire when exercising, playing sports, dancing, during menopausal hot flashes, gardening, or even in anxious situations. Some women experienced rashes and irritation. Others complained of those awful sweat marks on their clothing.
Some women just wanted a product that would make their bras more comfortable – something that would act as a cushion from uncomfortable underwires or for rubbing and chafing from the bra itself. And so the Wick'em moisture management bra liner was born – a bra liner with a unique design, constructed of special moisture management material to wick away perspiration. It can be worn with athletic bras or with regular bras, morning, noon, or night.
Now that I wear the Wick'em every day, I am free from irritation and rashes under my breasts and my bra is so much more comfortable to wear all day long! I'm also happy to report that I have no more sweat marks on my clothing!
Over the past two years, I have received many requests for a bra liner designed for women with sensitive skin as well as for women who were interested primarily in comfort, but wanted moisture wicking features too. In January 2011, we introduced the Natural Bamboo Wick'em Bra Liner. The new bamboo bra liner has the same unique design as the Original Wick'em, but the bamboo fabric is so soft you almost feel as though you're not wearing a bra! (Now that's a winner, in my book!)
I now wear both styles, depending on my planned activities for the day and the weather report. I wear the natural Bamboo Wick'em for daily use (because it's SO SOFT) and I wear the Original Wick'em when I plan to work out or when the weather is hot and sticky.
